Kiya Ashton
Kiya Ashton is an established singer/songwriter and performer in Guernsey's local music scene. Since beginning her musical journey in 2014, Kiya has written two EPs, a short film soundtrack, dropped a new solo single, and performed vocals for local film Occupied's 'Sarnia Cherie' and written the soundtrack for local short film At Death We Part. In the last few years, Kiya has also developed a persona for stripped back acoustic covers.
Her function repertoire includes the likes of George Ezra, Adele, Shawn Mendes, John Legend, The Cure, Cyndi Lauper, & many more. She regularly performs at local restaurants and private gatherings, and has secured a regular slot at Le Pommier for Mellow Mondays.
In her original music, she's crafted a multi genre sound that compliments the emotional tales presented in her songs, with plenty of influence taken from musicians like quirky 90s artist Tori Amos, pop rock legend Avril Lavigne, and alt rock bands Incubus and The Cranberries. Her performances inspire deep thought and encompass you in a floating bubble of relaxation.
